Ohio State Football | Five-star California offensive lineman commits to Ohio State

The Ohio State 2017 football recruiting class gained a third five-star prospect when offensive lineman Wyatt Davis of Bellflower (St. John Bosco), Calif., committed the Buckeyes on Friday afternoon. Davis, 6 feet 3, 328 pounds, is considered the consensus No.1 guard prospect in the nation for the 2017 cycle. Once considered a heavy lean toward Alabama, he picked Ohio State over the Crimson Tide, Michigan, Notre Dame and many others. “The next four years I will be attending The Ohio State University,” Davis said at a press conference at his high school before pulling on at OSU cap. His pledge likely boosts OSU back to No.1 in the national recruiting rankings ahead of Alabama. Based on the assesssments of rivals.com and 247sports.com, the other two five-stars in the 14-member OSU class are offensive lineman Josh Myers of Miamisburg, Ohio, and defensive back Shaun Wade of Jacksonville (Trinity Christian), Fla.
