Ohio State looks to secure 5-star offensive guard

On Friday evening, Wyatt Davis will tell the world where he is playing college football. His decision could give the Buckeyes the No.1 ranked recruiting class (again) Camp season is still underway for the Ohio State staff. Urban Meyer and co. have been the host and guest for many camps this summer and much is yet to come in the next few weeks before the 2016 Buckeye squad gets underway. With recruiting still at the forefront of the summer months, look for work to be done to the 2017 class and preparation for the 2018 class to continue. Davis sized boom coming? Wyatt Davis (Bellflower, CA / St. John Bosco) visited Columbus, Ohio and the Buckeyes last weekend for the first time. While the visit seemed to go well, yesterday may have been confirmation enough that Davis was totally sold on Ohio State. Less than a full week from his visit, Wyatt announced yesterday that his commitment would be public as of today at 6:00 p.m. ET. The 5-star and No.1 offensive guard in the 2017 class stands at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds and seems to be down to Ohio State, Notre Dame and Alabama in his final three schools. While we will know for sure this evening on Wyatt’s decision, social media went crazy yesterday as the 247sports crystal ball saw sixteen predictions in Ohio State’s favor in one day. Obviously, with basically every expert in on the same school for Wyatt’s destination, something is certainly trending well for the Buckeyes. Look for Ohio State to land yet again another 5-star prospect…
