With Wyatt Davis’ decision to play football for Ohio State, it means Urban Meyer has three of the top offensive linemen in the nation committed to the 2017 class. Does that mean another running back will commit to play for the Buckeyes soon? Any running back worth his salt realizes that their big buddies up front have a lot to do in any success he will have at the college level. With Urban Meyer pulling Davis into the fold, along with two top tier tackles in Josh Myers and Jake Moretti, that may be enough for a 5 star running back to want to come to Ohio State and run behind them. The odds on favorite to commit to the Buckeyes is Cam Akers. He is the number 2 ranked running back in the 247Composite rankings. But Najee Harris, the top ranked running back in the nation, has also showed interest in Ohio State as well. Landing either one of these two running backs, to go along with the number 3 all purpose back J.K. Dobbins, would be a terrific haul for coach Meyer.
