Joel Honigford, a three-star OL from Ohio, includes Michigan, Michigan State in final four

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State just earned a commitment from five-star offensive lineman Wyatt Davis of Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco. That’s great news for the Buckeyes.  But for every top national prospect Ohio State takes, there’s going to be less room for a really good prospect at the same position who lives in Ohio. That’s especially true in the tight 2017 class.  A perfect example of that is three-star offensive tackle Joel Honigford of Sugarcreek (Ohio) Garaway, a very good college football prospect with an impressive scholarship offers list. He just doesn’t have one from Ohio State.  But the 6-foot-6, 278-pound offensive tackle has plenty of options. Now he’s focused on a final four after trimming his list Monday. Those four: Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon and Auburn.  • Urban Meyer concerned Ohio State’s national recruiting presence leaving Ohio ‘ripe for the picking’ “First off, I’d like to start by saying I have been truly blessed from the man above through this whole process,” Honigford wrote on Twitter. “I want to thank all of the schools who have recruited me and put the time into me. Also, I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me in the process. With that said, I have narrowed things down to four schools.”  Rated the No. 49 offensive tackle in the 2017 recruiting class in the 247Sports composite rankings, Honigford racked up nearly 30 scholarship offers before trimming his list down to four.  Final 4 pic.twitter.com/GNkppybq6M — Joel Honigford…
