Ohio State Football's silent leader

Most of the talk surrounding the Ohio State Buckeyes in the past two years has been about the offense. Whether it was about the quarterback controversy between J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones last season or how many carries Ezekiel Elliott was getting, the talk never concerned the defense. For example, after the upset at the hands of the Michigan State Spartans by a final tally of 17-14, the biggest headlines regarded the use of Ezekiel Elliott and the offensive play-calling while not a single headline hinted at the fact that without one of the best defensive performances in recent Buckeye history, they would have lost 42-0. It seems to be the same going into this season as well, with all of the hype being around Barrett’s return to the helm and replacing Elliott in the backfield. The Buckeye defense is lost in the shuffle. Sure, they lost nine starters and nearly their entire linebacker and secondary groups, but there is someone with big plans this year in Columbus; Raekwon McMillan.
