Ohio offensive lineman commits to Michigan

Sugarcreek (Ohio) Garaway junior Joel Honigford is one of the top 2017 athletes in the Buckeye State. The 6-foot-7 and 262-pound Honigford will be a four-year varsity starter in both football and basketball and a three-year varsity starter in baseball. But it will definitely be football at the next level for Honigford and he will play on the Big Ten grid-iron as Honigford has committed to Michigan over Michigan State, Oregon and Auburn, his other finalists. Honigford’s list of offers also included Oklahoma, TCU, Northwestern, Duke, Illinois, Boston College, Pitt, Iowa State, Wake Forest Kentucky, Syracuse and Colorado State. While the Buckeyes at one time were interested in Honigford, they did not offer him a scholarship.
