Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports Coach Urban Meyer is working hard to bring the best recruiting class ever to Ohio State in 2017.  That’s not surprising, he has been bringing in elite talent since 2012. The question is whether or not these players will deliver?  Being ranked high among recruiting services is one thing.  Becoming the best on the field is another. Looking back over the last 15 seasons, Buckeyes’ fans have been blessed to watch several players that have elevated their play beyond all others.  The bar is set high for the new crop of athletes if they want to cement their legacies and be considered among the all-time greats. Here are the top four players of the Jim Tressel, Luke Fickell and Urban Meyer eras. Ezekiel Elliott You can make a case that Elliott is the best player to ever wear Scarlet and Gray, but that might upset the Archie Griffin fan club.  Don’t get me wrong, I love Archie as a player and even more as an ambassador for the university and program.  I just think Elliott was exceptional and took his team to a whole new level that even they may not have realized.
