But Hyde has worked tirelessly this off-season and is fully healthy, feeling very optimistic that year three is going to be a big one for him in Chip Kelly’s new up-tempo offensive system. Kelly brings a unique approach to the game of football, using an unorthodox offensive system to coach his team. That shouldn’t be foreign to Hyde, who played within a similar scheme at Ohio State under Urban Meyer, and the transition has been smooth thus far, according to Hyde via 49ers.com. “He’s definitely brought the up-tempo to practice,” Hyde said of Kelly. “At first it was tiring, but we got the hang of it.” And now that they have the hang of it, Hyde and his 49ers teammates are seeing the game slow down for them. “It was easy to go out there and run a certain amount of plays in a certain amount of minutes pretty fast,” he said. “You’re just looking at the end of practice, like ‘Dang, that’s it?
