Joker Phillips Joins Ohio State Football Staff//

Joker Phillips has joined the Ohio State football staff as a quality control assistant. If Urban Meyer is Batman, he just hired his nemesis Joker to join up and fight the evil forces of Michigan. The Ohio State head coach has brought Joker Phillips into the fold of his coaching staff as a quality control assistant, it was reported on Wednesday. Despite Phillips’ reputation as a great recruiter, the hiring could be a risky move for Meyer and the Buckeyes. Phillips had to resign from his job as wide receiver coach at Florida just two years ago. During the dead recruiting period, he was seen having dinner with a Gator recruit, which is a violation of NCAA rules. Phillips served as head coach at his alma mater Kentucky from 2010-12, ultimately getting fired after a winless SEC record in his last season. The Wildcats were 13-24 during his tenure. He had previously spent seven years serving as an assistant at Kentucky under Rich Brooks. MORE: Ohio State’s Path To The College Football Playoff
