Cass Tech's Weber seems to have clear path to OSU top job

Weber, a 5-foot-10, 215-pound sophomore who was the No. 1 player on The Detroit News Blue Chip list in 2015, is expected to be the main man in the Buckeyes’ backfield after Dunn, a senior, was dismissed for violating team rules. Weber was expected to battle Dunn for the No. 1 job in fall camp. The Buckeyes must replace All-American running back Ezekiel Elliott, who rushed for 3,699 yards and 41 TDs the last two seasons. Elliott was a first-round draft pick of the Cowboys. “He definitely improved,” OSU running backs coach Tony Alford told Cleveland.com about Weber at the conclusion of spring practices. “He definitely has grown up a bunch. He’s had a good spring.
