Stillwater has been my home for the past 11 years. Those years have been some of the best years of my life. My love for Stillwater and Oklahoma State University started a few years prior to my official arrival to the place I call home. I was born and raised in Lawton, approximately 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City, and for as long as I can remember, I always had a ball in my hands. I’ve always loved sports and after my playing days were over, my fandom/obsession began to grow. Now being the only person in my family from Oklahoma, my sports allegiances have always been a little odd, to say the least. My parents grew up in Ohio, specifically the Akron/Canton area, so they are naturally Cleveland fans through and through. So, needless to say I saw my fare share of Indians and Browns games. Ouch. However, I didn’t gravitate toward those teams nor did I follow anything but football with any kind of consistency. I, instead, chose to follow the Miami Dolphins, mostly because of Dan Marino.
