COLUMBUS — Urban Meyer and staff are putting together the top recruiting class in the country for 2017. The weekend only served to enhance that class. Saturday, 4-star def. back Amir Riep issued his verbal committment during an announcement at Cincinnati Colerain High School. “This is so exciting, a dream come true. It’s a dream come true for me to follow Ohio State coming up and now to be a part of it’s great.” Riep told reporters after the announcement. Riep is considered one of the top three players in the state of Ohio. The Buckeyes received two verbal committments during Friday Night Lights in the Shoe, five-star def. end Chase Young from Maryland and four-star Florida running back Brian Snead who is the first member of the 2018 recruiting class.
