Ohio State Football: What Bri'onte Dunn's dismissal means for the Buckeye offense


Senior running back Bri’onte Dunn was dismissed from the Ohio State football program, Monday, for what head coach Urban Meyer called “a violation of team rules.” Dunn is believed to be the perpetrator of domestic violence – specifically hitting his girlfriend. Before his sudden dismissal, Bri’onte Dunn was considered by some to be Ohio State’s feature running back this fall. In his four years with the program, Dunn was largely overshadowed by stars Carlos Hyde and Ezekiel Elliott, compiling only 287 yards and three touchdowns throughout his career. Now with both gone to the NFL, Dunn looked to be in prime position for a starting job this season. The only foreseeable obstacle in Bri’onte Dunn’s way was redshirt freshman Mike Weber.
