But on Thursday he did it in style. Meyer was the special guest of the Honda STEAM Connections Tour event and was driven from the OSU Athletic Administration office to the Longaberger Alumni House in a special street-legal two-seat Indy car, driven by IndyCar racer Conor Daly. “Wow,” Meyer said as he was helped out of the back seat. It wasn’t his first time being in a high-powered car, having done the Richard Petty Experience multiple times down at the Daytona International Speedway, but Meyer said afterward he was impressed by the car and the drivers who dare to get behind the wheel. “I just asked him, ‘What’s the trick?'” Meyer said. “He said, ‘Courage.’ And you’d have to not be claustrophobic to be sitting in that darn car.” Meyer said it’s courage, rather than the athleticism, that separates professional race car drivers…
