Ohio State Football: Taking a closer look at the wide receivers


As a whole, the Ohio State football wide receivers are young.  So much NFL talent was lost from last year, and leadership could be a question mark.  On paper, the depth at this position is ridiculous, though.  There is going to be some growing pains, but plenty of fireworks.  Let’s take a look at the tentative breakdown. The starters on the outside Corey Smith and Noah Brown are fairly unknown as starting wide outs.  Smith was granted his sixth year of eligibility because of a broken tibia and fibula that cut his 2015 campaign short.  Overall, he has had a bumpy road in the program.  He has always had great talent, and was heavily recruited as a junior college prospect.  He has shown flashes as a deep threat and special teamer, and the team has confidence in him to make his mark this year. Noah Brown is also coming off a broken leg injury that ended his season before it got started.  In his third year with the Bucks as a redshirt sophomore,  he doesn’t have much experience.
