Instead, the running back position in college football is as strong as it has been in quite some time. Dalvin Cook at Florida State is always turning heads, LSU’s Leonard Fournette flashes shades of Herschel Walker and others such as Nick Chubb (Georgia), Royce Freeman (Oregon), and Samaje Perine are the premier threats in college football. Big names, hot seats Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin, Auburn’s Gus Malzahn, LSU’s Les Miles and Texas’ Charlie Strong are all big-name coaches at big-time programs in desperate need of great seasons.
