Amway Coaches Poll stock watch: Wisconsin surges, Michigan State tumbles

The top seven teams stayed put with Alabama easily retaining the No. 1 position it has held all season. The Crimson Tide received 61 of 64 first-place votes after an easy romp past Kent State. Ohio State held steady at No. 2. The Buckeyes, who had the weekend off, retained their two first-place nods with No. 3 Clemson getting the last one. Louisville held steady at No. 4 on the eve of next week’s huge showdown with Clemson. No. 5 Michigan, No. 6 Stanford and No. 7 Houston also held serve.
