Longtime Ohio State QB recruit Danny Clark decommits

Danny Clark (Photo: 247Sports) Archbishop Hoban (Akron) quarterback Danny Clark, who has tirelessly answered questions about his commitment to Ohio State following the commitment of Tate Martell, has decommitted from the Buckeyes, he announced on Twitter. Clark announced he was decommitting with a “very heavy heart and a clear conscience.” “In the past few months I have been forced to accept the fact that as a pro style QB, maybe my style of play would be a good fit elsewhere,” he wrote. “At first I couldn’t accept it. I spent a lot of nights crying and praying for an answer that I already knew. But sometimes the writing is on the wall, and you just have to see through the tears to read what it says.” Clark committed to Ohio State in 2013 and has said at the time he was told that the Buckeyes would not add another quarterback recruit to the class. Those circumstances changed when Marell was brought in and he has become a Pied Paper of sorts helping push Ohio State to other elite players.
