Nojel Eastern, four-star 2017 guard, officially visiting Ohio State basketball this weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Still looking to add one more player to its 2017 recruiting class, Ohio State basketball will have a big official visitor on campus this weekend. Nojel Eastern, a four-star guard from Evanston, Ill., will make a visit to Columbus this weekend, cleveland.com has learned. The 6-foot-6 Eastern is the No. 69 overall prospect on the 2017 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports composite ratings. It’s fitting that Ohio State football is hosting Northwestern this weekend. Expect that game to be a part of the visit experience for the Evanston native. Eastern has also taken official visits to Michigan State and Seton Hall, according to Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com. He also holds offers from Purdue, Michigan, Xavier and others. Buckeyes coach Thad Matta visited Eastern last week. Ohio State has two commitments in the 2017 class from four-star center Kaleb Wesson and three-star point guard Braxton Beverly. There’s still flexibility on the roster to add one more player for 2017 as it stands now. Ohio State’s scholarship breakdown Cleveland.com caught up with Eastern at a Nike EYBL event in April. Watch the video above to hear what Eastern had to say about the Buckeyes then.
