Ohio State is ranked No. 5 in the latest College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings

The Ohio State Buckeyes finally had that lively game on offense, and it came against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who were ranked in the top 10 of last week’s College Football Playoff rankings. This week, the Buckeyes come in at No. 5. Ahead of the Buckeyes are Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, and Washington. Texas A&M’s loss to Mississippi State set them back, just a week after the uproar over their No. 4 standing. “The deliberations over much of the rankings this week were long and detailed,” said selection chairman, Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt. “There are very close calls at virtually every level. It is clear every member of this committee pays close attention to these games and they come prepared to discuss each team in great detail.” This week, Ohio State is playing Maryland on the road, and will hope to have a repeat performance on offense as they continue to build their case to be in the playoff come season’s end.
