Ohio State Football Report Card: Week 11


Ohio State Football is clicking at the perfect time.  Yesterday, the Buckeyes beat up the Maryland Terrapins on the road in a game that was a breeze from start to finish.  Even though this Maryland squad is not a quality opponent, you have to play the next team on your schedule.  Head coach Urban Meyer and the Bucks took care of business in a 62-3 drubbing of the Terps. Offense: A+ Quarterback JT Barrett is going through his progressions much faster as of late, as he was early in the season.  He had four total touchdowns, two passing and two rushing.  Barrett is closing in on the Big Ten total TD’s record, which is held by former Purdue Boilermakers QB Drew Brees.  He had tremendous protection against a subpar Maryland defensive line, and he was able to pick the Terps apart.  Barrett was able to find h-back Curtis Samuel in holes against zone coverage on a consistent basis.  Most of the day, completions were easy for him because of ample separation from defenders that gave way to Barrett throwing into huge windows.  Nonetheless, he was the key cog in the team getting 45 first half points, so hats off to him. He also had…
