Ohio State football: Jahsen Wint is the latest Buckeye to lose his black stripe

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A ton of freshmen lose their black stripes during fall camp, but it still happens well into the season. It occurs when Urban Meyer and his staff feel the honor has been earned.  On Wednesday, another stripe came off. This time it was Jahsen Wint, a former three-star prospect of Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall.  Inside the black stripe ritual Meyer created the ritual as a way of signifying when a player has officially done enough to be considered a Buckeye. Wint’s removal is interesting because he played for the Buckeyes on special teams in his first game as a true freshman this year.
