Ohio State Buckeyes Remain At No. 2 In CFP Standings; Alabama Still No. 1

Ohio State (10-1, 7-1 Big Ten) appears to be in good shape for clinching a playoff spot regardless if it plays for the Big Ten title or not.  After a hard-fought 17-16 win at Michigan State this past Saturday, OSU keeps hold of its No. 2 spot in the latest College Football Playoff rankings that were released Tuesday evening on ESPN.  Alabama (11-0) is still atop the CFP standings after beating Chattanooga, 31-3, at home over the weekend. The Crimson Tide is the only undefeated squad among teams in the Power 5 conferences.  Though Ohio State may not play for the Big Ten championship on Dec. 3, the Buckeyes should still qualify for the CFP so long as they win their regular-season finale against No. 3 Michigan this Saturday.
