Ohio State lands 5-star Linebacker Baron Browning


Ohio State coming back to beat Michigan not only kept the Buckeyes alive for the College Football Playoff and essentially eliminated the Wolverines, but it should help give Ohio State a recruiting edge this offseason. In fact, the Buckeyes might already be reaping the benefits of that victory on the recruiting trail. Just days after visiting Ohio State University, five-star linebacker Baron Browning committed to the Buckeyes. 247 Sports ranks the linebacker the No. 2 prospect at his position and ninth overall in the entire 2017 recruiting class. The Buckeyes will be happy to hear that Browning chose Ohio State over Michigan, Florida State, TCU, Alabama and UCLA. Browning formally committed to Baylor during the summer of 2015, but he withdrew from the Bears in February.
