Conventional wisdom suggests that Ohio State’s logo will be one of the four revealed when the College Football Playoff committee announces its 2016 tournament semifinalists on Sunday, and with good reason.The Buckeyes (11-1) have wins over three teams ranked among the top nine — Wisconsin, Michigan and Oklahoma — as well as a victory over Nebraska, which was ranked No. 10 when OSU shellacked the Cornhuskers on Nov. 5. No program in the country has a better resume to set in front of the committee, although there is a whiff of mystery in the air. Because Ohio State lost to Penn State in October, it cannot win its way into the final four, as it did in 2014. The Nittany Lions (10-2) will represent the Big Ten’s East Division in tonight’s Big Ten championship game, and they will be looking to duplicate the same sort of impressive win over Wisconsin…
