Ohio State's offensive line has room to grow and a goal in mind: Be like 2014 Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Pat Elflein answered the question as if it was the most obvious thing he’s ever been asked: Is Ohio State’s offensive line striving to reach the standard it set when the Buckeyes won a national championship in 2014? “Yeah,” Elflein said assuredly. The “duh” was implied. It is an obvious question with Ohio State preparing for a College Football Playoff semifinal against Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl. Of course they — everyone, not just the offensive line — would like to find some way to recapture what the Buckeyes had during their 2014 playoff run through Alabama and Oregon. Some parts of the team (the defense) are closer to that benchmark than others (everyone else). Some players (J.T.
