It was reported earlier today and has now been confirmed by many that Ohio State defensive coordinator Luke Fickell will be taking over as the head coach at the University of Cincinnati next season. Earlier this afternoon, the Bearcats issued a press release regarding its new man in charge. Within the release, it was said that Fickell would stick with the Buckeyes throughout its College Football Playoff run for the remainder of the season. “Fickell will be introduced to the media at a 3:15 p.m. ET press conference Saturday on UC’s campus,” via gobearcats.com. “He has agreed to a six-year deal which is pending approval by the UC Board of Trustees.
