Former NFL Coordinator Bill Davis To Be Hired By Ohio State

On Wednesday, the school announced that Meyer is set to hire former NFL coordinator Bill Davis. Davis is not new to Ohio State, having served as an analyst for the Buckeyes during their 2016 run to a second College Football Playoff berth. He’s now set to join the coaching staff in a full-time position. The Buckeyes lost former defensive coordinator Luke Fickell recently, creating an opening on the staff. A longtime Ohio State assistant, Fickell took the head coaching job at Cincinnati – his first full-time head coaching position – but will coach the Buckeyes through the Playoff.
