Ohio State's Curtis Samuel declares for NFL draft

Ohio State is losing another player to the NFL. Curtis Samuel, the Buckeyes’ versatile junior, announced on Twitter that he will forgo his final season of collegiate eligibility to pursue a professional career. Samuel was Ohio State’s leading receiver and third-leading rusher this season. When Ohio State gave Samuel the ball in 2016, good things happened. He gained 771 yards and eight touchdowns on just 97 carries — a 7.9-yard average — while also registering 74 receptions for 865 yards and seven more scores. Samuel was the only player in college football with at least 700 yards receiving and rushing this season. Overall in his career, Samuel finished with 1,286 yards and 15 touchdowns rushing with 107 catches for 1,249 yards and nine scores through the air.
