Three Buckeyes Earn FWAA Freshman All-American Honors


The Football Writers Association of America included three Ohio State Buckeyes in its Freshman All-American Team. Redshirt running back Mike Weber, true freshman Michael Jordan, and redshirt freshman defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones all earned honors for their contributions to the Ohio State 2016 season. Weber finished the season with 182 rushes for 1096 yards and 9 touchdowns. Jordan started at left guard in all 13 games. Jones appeared in all 13 games as well after stepping into a void left by the injured Tracy Sprinkle. Jones finished with 51 total tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, and 1 quarterback hurry.
