COLUMBUS — How do you replace an All-American? You simply get as many players ready as you can and then let the best man win. As a true freshman last season, Jordan Fuller was the backup to Damon Webb at free safety. He played in 12 games and tallied 11 tackles. Those aren’t exactly the numbers of a future All-American, but they’re remarkably similar to the 13 games and 10 tackles that Malik Hooker notched in 2015. Hooker took his experience as a backup that season and parlayed it into a near-legendary one-and-done performance this past season for the Buckeyes, the likes of which would be much too lofty to expect to be repeated just one year later.
