Ohio State Football will have a more consistent offensive line in 2017


For a significant portion of this past season, Ohio State Football had trouble moving the ball with an inexperienced offensive line group. The Buckeyes statistics offensively were not awful on the surface, as they were first in the Big Ten Conference in yards per game (459.2) and second in points per contest (39.4). That didn’t tell the whole story, though, as the Bucks had a few outliers that likely skewed those stats in relation to the big picture. The Buckeyes had only two returning starters on the offensive front to at the outset of last season, and going into this year’s spring ball, they have four returning on the o-line, although three will likely be playing at the beginning of next season.
