Buckeyes QB J.T. Barrett says change ‘was needed’ at Ohio State

As soon as Ohio State’s football season ended in what may have been the most disappointing way possible, it was already known changes would be made. However, there may not be a bigger advocate for the impending changes than quarterback J.T. Barrett. Barrett, who accepted the Chicago Tribune’s Silver Football as the co-MVP of the Big Ten at an Ohio State basketball game Sunday, told the Associated Press he thought changes were needed in Columbus. Barrett told the AP the Buckeyes need “Something new.” “Change is also a good thing,” he said to the AP. “Change is not always bad. I think it was needed.” According to the AP’s story, Barrett’s main concerns were that Ohio State was scoring points, but not enough to live up to what Buckeyes fans have come to expect in recent years. “It was not like we were awful by any means,” Barrett told the AP.…
