Predicting Ohio State Football’s secondary starters ahead of spring practice


Last season, with the offense constantly sputtering out of control against the country’s best teams, it was the Buckeye defense that kept (nearly) every game in check. Especially it’s vaunted secondary, led by first-year starters Malik Hooker and Marshon Lattimore. Unsurprisingly, after stellar first seasons starting for the Silver Bullets, both Hooker and Lattimore have decided to enter the NFL Draft. Also gone, is redshirt junior Gareon Conley, who played a primary role in the Buckeyes’ 2014 National Championship. So now, with spring practice starting March 7, head coach Urban Meyer and company must find the initial replacements for three of the Buckeyes best defenders from a year ago.
