J.T. Barrett: Coaching changes influenced return to Ohio State

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett said coaching changes were necessary at Ohio State and that having new offensive coordinators influenced his decision to return for his senior season. Barrett accepted the Chicago Tribune Silver Football award, given to the Big Ten’s best player, during Ohio State’s basketball game against Northwestern on Sunday. He told reporters he’s excited about the additions of former Indiana coach Kevin Wilson and NFL assistant Ryan Day, who will serve as co-offensive coordinators. “Something new,” Barrett said. “Change is also a good thing. Change is not always bad.
