Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett No. 2 in way-too-early 2017 Heisman odds

The college football season just ended two weeks ago, but we already miss it, right? With the 2017 season a short eight months away, Bovada has released their 2017 Heisman Trophy odds. On the list is Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett, who, at 6-to-1, has the second-best odds to win the most important individual trophy in college football. He trails only Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield, who is the favorite in the way-too-early rankings with 11-to-2 odds. After deciding to return for his fifth and final season, the redshirt senior will lead a young Buckeyes offense once again. Since taking the starting job in 2014 after Braxton Miller suffered a shoulder injury, Barrett has had one of the best careers as a quarterback at Ohio State in school history.
