Spring Football Preview: Quarterback


Spring football is fast approaching for the Ohio State Buckeyes. After a disappointing end to the year and multiple offseason changes, there are plenty of questions to be answered before 2017 begins. While everything won’t be resolved during spring practice, there is still lots to learn. What we know Like it or not, J.T. Barrett returns for his fifth year in the program. As a three-year starter, he is the incumbent and is expected to take the majority of first-team reps during spring and headed into the fall. With that said, he has a lot to prove. After losing his starting spot to Cardale Jones two seasons ago, Barrett has regressed as a passer. Although his numbers were good enough to win him the Big Ten’s Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year award, he struggled throwing the ball as the season progressed and did not do enough to help the Buckeyes…
