Ohio State Football: Buckeyes’ greatest positional needs ahead of 2018 recruiting cycle


Since Urban Meyer’s fateful arrival in Columbus nearly six years ago, the Ohio State Buckeyes have become one of the nation’s top recruiting powerhouses. Since 2011, according to 247sports’ team composite rankings, Meyer’s recruiting classes have finished outside the top five only once. Now, after hauling in what looks to be the Buckeye’s best recruiting class ever in 2017, Meyer and the rest of his staff are now on to the 2018 cycle. And given Meyer’s recruiting prowess at Ohio State, the Buckeyes have also become no stranger to early declarants for the NFL Draft. In the past two seasons, 15 Buckeyes with remaining eligibility have declared early for the NFL Draft; a nation high.
