Ohio State announces spring practice schedule

The official start of 2017 Ohio State football begins on Tuesday, March 7, as the Buckeyes take to the practice field for the first time to begin spring ball. OSU looks to replace three players on offense and four on defense from the 2016 team that finished 11-2 with a loss to Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinal. Ohio State welcomes in nine early enrollees who took part in winter conditioning and now will get their first look at spring practice. In addition to these freshmen who helped make up the nation’s second-ranked recruiting class, JUCO cornerback transfer Kendall Sheffield, is now on campus, began classes this week and is eligible for the spring. As has become the case with the semester scheduled, spring practices will be broken up by spring break from March 13-17.
