Linebacker 101 with Jerome Baker explains why Ohio State's Dante Booker could finally break out

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A compliment for Jerome Baker ended up coming off as an insult to Dante Booker. Ohio State is shuffling its linebackers this spring. Chris Worley has moved to the middle to replace Raekwon McMillan. Baker will play the Will, or weakside spot, while Booker will play the Sam, or strongside.  Those placements of Baker and Booker represent a subtle shift you may not have noticed. Booker was the starting Will last year before suffering a knee injury in the opener and being replaced by Baker, who stayed there for the rest of the season. Now healthy, it made sense that Booker would slide back into that Will spot, and that Baker would move over to Sam. Why would that make sense? Because of Darron Lee and the walkout linebacker spot.
