Ohio State football: Urban Meyer likes Buckeyes' progress at several positions

Bill Rabinowitz The Columbus Dispatch @brdispatch Ohio State’s spring football game is 11 days away, and while coach Urban Meyer still has plenty of questions about his 2017 football team, he is feeling good about its progress. He raved about several position groups in a press conference Tuesday. Not surprisingly, the defensive line is one of them, given its talent and depth. “As of now, it’s the strength of our team on defense,” Meyer said. But he also praised the development of the tight ends. “Tight end is the most improved position on the team right now,” Meyer said. The Buckeyes have made that progress there despite the absence of returning starter Marcus Baugh, who’s rehabbing from shoulder surgery. “A.J.
