It would be very hard for Ohio State to surpass the star power from the 2017 recruiting class, the best in school history on paper. But based on how the 2018 recruiting class is starting, the Buckeyes are certainly going to try. The class has already started with a bang, as the Buckeyes have secured five commitments, including a five-star (defensive tackle Taron Vincent), and four other very high four stars, including QB Emory Jones. The class is currently ranked 7th nationally by the 247 Sports Composite, and has the highest ranking per recruit.
