Ohio State’s Martin Jarmond could be the next athletic director at Boston College

A key Ohio State athletics administrator may be on the move soon. According to Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel, Ohio State’s Martin Jarmond has “emerged as a strong front-runner” for the open Boston College athletic director job. In fact, Jarmond’s hiring is “expected to be completed” by the end of the week. Jarmon is fairly young for a power conference AD top gig (just 37), but has a great reputation in the college administrator community, reportedly also getting long looks from Syracuse and Mississippi State. Among his many administrative and fundraising duties at Ohio State, Jarmond also handles the scheduling for Ohio State’s football team. On that front, it’s clear he’s done a great job.
