Former Ohio State QB Kenny Guiton named receivers coach at Houston

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kenny Guiton, the former Ohio State quarterback, is officially on the career coaching path. Guiton on Friday was named the new wide receivers coach at Houston. Guiton returns to the Cougars, where he worked for two years as an offensive graduate assistant under then-head coach and former Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman. Herman took Guiton with him to Texas, where he worked for four months as a quality control assistant before landing his new gig back at Houston. The Houston native had a brief foray into pro football after leaving Ohio State, spending time in rookie mini-camp with the Buffalo Bills and playing for a short stint with the Los Angeles KISS of the Arena Football League.
