COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football opens the 2017 season on Aug. 31 at Indiana. We’re counting down the top 50 Buckeyes for this season taking into account talent, past accomplishments, team need and potential. No. 50: Baron Browning, Freshman, Linebacker Height, weight: 6-foot-4, 230 pounds. Hometown: Kennedale, Texas. Where he was ranked entering last season: Browning, a member of the 2017 recruiting class, was not on our list last year. What he’s done: Arrived on campus with the most fanfare for a linebacker since Raekwon McMillan in 2014. Browning was the No. 11 player in the country in 2017, and rated slightly ahead of McMillan as a high school prospect. That made for immediate high expectations when Browning enrolled early last January, but a shoulder injury cut his spring practice short really before it got started.
