The best tight end in the country might commit to the school that’s most known for not throwing to tight ends. That doesn’t worry Jeremy Ruckert, though. Ruckert is the No. 2 tight end in the class of 2018 on the industry-consensus 247Sports Composite. But evaluators have bumped him upward after he turned in a dominant performance at The Opening, the top Nike showcase. I’ve only been doing this for a few years, but Ruckert’s the best prep tight end I’ve watched in person and one of the best prospects, period. He plans to commit within weeks to one of his final four schools: Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, or Notre Dame. The Buckeyes have recruited Ruckert harder than anyone, and they’re the favorites.
