Torrance Gibson, former Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati commit, enrolls at junior college

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Torrance Gibson’s journey to becoming a college quarterback has taken him from Columbus to Cincinnati, and now to Mississippi. Gibson has enrolled at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the program announced on Thursday. Interestingly enough, the school release does not mention Gibson’s past at Ohio State or his hopes to play for Cincinnati this fall before taking the junior college route. “I just want to win,” Gibson said in the release. “I want to learn. It’s a chance for a brand new start, to start from the bottom.” You might remember Gibson signing a letter of intent with MGCCC back in December, effectively ending his time with the Buckeyes. He was suspended by Ohio State — the university, not the football program — before the 2016 season, missed the entire year and fall semester, and then was not reinstated for the spring semester.
