Ohio State announces the start of fall camp

The Ohio State football team will begin official preparation for the 2017 season on Thurs., July 27 it was announced on Thursday. The first practice of fall camp will be early, beginning at 6:30 a.m. Stretching and the first three periods will be open to members of the media. The team will then practice again on Friday morning followed by a week off. If this seems like an earlier start date than normal, you are not mistaken. Last year, the Buckeyes began fall camp on Aug. 7. A new NCAA rule eliminated two-a-days and extended the preseason in order to get in the full 29 practices allowed. The Scarlet and Gray also begin the season on Thurs., Aug. 31, two days before most teams, meaning practice starts earlier than normal.
