COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football opens the 2017 season on Aug. 31 at Indiana. We’re counting down the top 50 Buckeyes for this season taking into account talent, past accomplishments, team need and potential. No. 29: Robert Landers, Sophomore, Defensive Tackle Height, weight: 6-foot-1, 283 pounds. Hometown: Dayton, Ohio. Where he was ranked entering last season: We didn’t have Landers ranked coming into last season, but we should have. The thinking then was that Ohio State wouldn’t get deep enough into its defensive tackle rotation for Landers to have a real role. We thought that players like Davon Hamilton and Jashon Cornell would get reps behind Tracy Sprinkle, Michael Hill and Dre’Mont Jones before Landers did. We were wrong.
