Ohio State senior defensive tackle Michael Hill will be suspended when the 2017 season begins, coach Urban Meyer confirmed Monday. Meyer didn’t give a reason for the fifth-year senior’s suspension, nor did he say how long Hill would be suspended, just that he wouldn’t play in the Buckeyes’ opener Aug. 31 at Indiana. “He’s suspended for a few games,” Meyer said at a regular news conference. “I’ve not determined exactly what it is right now, so he won’t play in the opener.” Hill became the team’s full-time nose tackle last year and recorded 21 total tackles, three for losses. Ohio State is ranked No. 2 behind Alabama in most preseason polls that have been released to date.
